Each bead is unique in colour and grain, adding character to each necklace.
Our beech beads are pre-treated with organic olive oil to nourish and protect them as well as bringing out the natural grain of the wood. If you would prefer to receive an untreated necklace for any reason, please get in touch prior to ordering.
All our wooden necklaces are made with European sourced, unfinished (non-toxic, no colour or varnish) wooden beads, crochet covered wooden beads made with organic cotton yarn, on an adjustable slip knotted cotton cord, so you can wear the necklace long or short. The beads range between 12 mm and 27 mm. Each necklace is approximately 30” at full length.

To clean your necklace, wash with a mild soap solution and warm water and allow to dry naturally.
To keep the wooden beads in tip-top condition, use a small amount of olive oil on your fingertips or soft cloth and rub into the beads. You could also use coconut oil or beeswax if you prefer. Leave the oil/wax to absorb for 10-15 minutes then wipe off any excess – the longer that you leave the treatment to absorb, the better the result.
Maintaining moisture in the beads helps to nourish and protect them, as well as bringing out the natural grain of the wood.
